Still need for this season

As the new season approaches and were getting ready for launch day, I was going over the list of required items yet to get for the upcoming races and a cold water Immersion suit is on the list, at 500.00  This is a big dollar item that is needed for the race, anyone have one their not using, got one I can borrow.....

Next Item on the list are a few stantion blocks for the furler and for the DRS Tack line.
I am waiting on new hoses for the propane stove to run into the cockpit locker to where a tank can be installed on the rail.
Maybe next year I will swap out the charcoal BBQ for a propane one.

Sails have been ordered and am waiting on delivery, furler is in and waiting to be installed, new standing rigging and running rigging is more or less being assembled and set for installation once weather warms up some more.

I'd like to find a few sponsors that would like to be on the T Shirt, as these events do have news coverage it would be a great way to advertise.

If you know where one can be had at a reasonable price let me know or Hey just get me one for the season or to use for the racing that would be great.

Furler Update

Spent a couple hours at Marine Outfitters and with their knowledge and guidance it has been decided that the furler will be the ESP unit 0 instead of the Mark IV unit 0 which had been recommended to me from a few people.

Main reason was cost and as I reminded a few people, Knotty Gurl is only a 26 footer and not 28 as my friend had originally thought.
So now we have the proper unit ordered and on it's way to the chandler which should be 3 - 4 weeks out.
Th ESP still has the aluminium extrusion which is a bonus and is more geared for the cruiser, where the Mark IV is more towards the racing end.

Standing rigging was also discussed and a some what ball park price of just under 1200.00 to do the complete boat was quoted which included new turnbuckles for the fore stay and the addition of a back stay adjuster/tensioner, again another upgrade that should prove helpful in sail shape and trim over all for the boat.

New sails from precision sails

I sent the money order off today for the  new Genoa Tri-radial 130% with bolt rope for a harken MKIV  furler that I was researching over Christmas and have ordered that from marine outfitters in Kingston. The third new item is the new tri-radial main with loose foot. it has two full battens and two partial with two reef points, first is a deep reef then a second smaller reefing point, ya I know all that cash laid out for a old 30+ year old boat but she is sound and sails really nice. This can only improve the overall handling and make good for speed as well. Spring will be busy installing the new furler and then replacing the standing rigging and all running rigging on the entire boat, new main sheet, jib sheet, Geneker halyard to be added and new main and jib/furler halyards.
the stove has been modified to now accept full bottles 20 pounder's, with the hose and regulator fed out to the stern to a holder. The BBQ is still charcoal but when i get a new one that will be added to the setup for propane.
July is the LO300 solo and i will be racing this summer in this, getting more practice in for the longer passage to Halifax then Bermuda and onward to Bahamas, Abacos to be exact.
Its nice to start to see years of preparation and refitting come together. From how the boat was when I first showed up at the dock, repainted the hull, re awl-gripped the deck, new sails, new furler, new rigging, all new lies, all new sheet lines, new rode and chain then added solar panels a new house system and starter system. All lights switched to LED inside and out, dodger cover and Bimini are the next items along with an arch over the stern for better panel placement.
Interior cushions will be remade this summer and then I will be somewhat finished re fitting Knotty Gurl.
